Life has become much more busy and fast now. Full of stress and depression.
Everybody is looking for a solution. We have some idea of meditation and want to know more about it. So, I will tell you more about meditation and how to relax body and mind.
Meditation and yoga:
These two terms are really famous these days. Let us first understand the meaning of these two.
Yoga is physical, mental, and spiritual practice.
Among the most well-known types of yoga are Hatha yoga and Rāja yoga:
Hatha yoga is a yoga practice that emphasizes on physical exercises to master the body. It involves numerous body postures targeting various parts of the body. Providing many health benefits.
Rāja yoga, as the name suggests it is the “King of Yoga”. It is an element of yoga, which is concerned with mental relaxation and attentiveness.
Raja yoga is known as the state of “Samadhi”. And this state of Samadhi is called “Meditation”, where one experiences nothing but the bliss of supreme inner happiness, the natural state of calm, serenity, peace and contentment.
Benefits of meditation:
To point out some:-
Improved quality of life
Better quality of sleep
Stimulation of the immune system
Relaxation of mind and body
As you are being very patient I would love to share the technique of Meditation with you. But SORRY….. You have to wait for some more time because first, I will tell you HOW TO RELAX YOUR BODY AND MIND. You know, researches show that a person can go deep into meditation with a relaxed mind and body.
So, here is the technique to relax;
- Sit with your eyes closed.
- Feel each and every part of your body.
- Feel that the divinity or the “POSITIVE ENERGY” is coming towards you.
- Think that this positive energy is flowing through all your body parts.
- Feel the energy.
- Sit with this thought for some time.
- When feeling relaxed, you can start doing meditation.
Even if you are not in the mood to meditate but need to get relaxed, you can exercise this relaxation technique. You can tell your friends, colleagues or family members to read out these instructions for you. Here is a better advice, you can record it yourself and listen to it whenever you feel like.
How to start meditation:
I understand, in the beginning, it may be difficult to sit for a long time. Trust me, I have been here for a long time but now I think all those problems are worth it. You can start with small periods of 10-15 minutes and gradually increase the duration as you get along. Choose a place where you can sit comfortably (your favorite spot). Try to find a place where noises and other distractions are minimal. Wear comfortable clothes so that u can be completely relaxed. Just sit with your eyes closed and focus on the heart with any positive thought. Feel your breath and the calmness inside you.
Thoughts may arise. It is like you are grubbing in shallow water and all the impurities arise and make the water dirty. Consequently, when you let it settle for a while, voila, you can get the crystal clear water back. Therefore, “IT’s OK”. You don’t need to force your brain to have no thoughts. IMAGINE..!!!!!! If your BRAIN GOES BLANK, what will happen? YOU WILL BE DEAD!!!!!!!!
BUT YES…don’t pay attention to them. They may spoil your meditation as your focus will shift from your heart to those thoughts. Treat them as un-invited guests. With time and regular practice, you can over-come this issue.
I couldn’t resist myself from mentioning that “don’t expect change in one day”. Did your gym instructor promise you stunning abs in one day? No? It takes time. Let it be a part of you. You’d love it. MORE THAN THE ABS!
Hope this article helped you in understanding meditation more.
